Gentle Rituals for Lasting Luxury

Your Sofi Swim pieces deserve gentle love. Follow these steps to preserve their elegance and longevity:

  • Rinse promptly — Wash your swimwear by hand in cool, fresh water with a gentle cleanser immediately after wear. This removes chlorine, salt, oils, and sunscreen before they damage the fabric.

  • Air-dry correctly — After rinsing, gently press out excess water (avoid wringing), then lay the piece flat or hang it in the shade. This prevents stretching and preserves colour and elasticity.

  • Store with care — Only store your swimwear when it's fully dry. Moisture can weaken fibers and affect shape over time.

  • Protect from chemicals & heat — Sunscreen, tanning oils, and chlorine can fade or weaken fabric. Similarly, direct sunlight or tumble drying can cause irreversible damage.

Sterling Silver Pieces

Even though sterling silver is water-safe and hypoallergenic, repeated exposure to water—especially chlorinated or salty water—can accelerate tarnishing. Here's how to keep your silver elements shining beautifully:

  • When it gets wet (pool, ocean, or shower), gently rinse with fresh water, pat dry immediately with a soft cloth, and polish with a silver-polishing cloth if needed. This prevents tarnish from setting in.

  • Avoid prolonged chemical exposure—chlorine, salty sweat, lotions, and hair products can expedite tarnish and dull the silver shine. It’s best to remove your accessory before swimming, sunbathing, or applying body products.

  • Clean gently using a soft, microfiber or silver polishing cloth—no harsh scrubs or abrasive cleaners. For more stubborn tarnish, a mild soap-and-water solution and a light polish do the trick.

  • Store carefully in a cool, dry place—ideally in an airtight bag or pouch with anti-tarnish strips or silica packs. This keeps moisture and air from dulling the silver.
